Dr. Alex Piantadosi has been a dentist for over 20 years; originally working in Mildura, but returned to work in Adelaide in 1997, with GP Dental Partners. My wife Leonie Faulks is also a dentist and we both work at our surgery in Kensington Gardens, or Magill as we are right on the border between the two suburbs.

My emphasis is on preventative care for my patients, focusing on minimally invasive dentistry and laser dentistry. I tend to then consider myself a dentist who practices green dentistry, in other words, the less damage we do to the teeth now, then the healthier and stronger they will be in the future, hopefully meaning less treatment. I think that this is an important part in looking after my patients and their families.

The most important thing in my life are my two very young girls, who seem to like visiting the surgery to have me or their mother check and clean their teeth as often as possible, and also my art. Pencils are my current medium of choice, but oil painting is still my most favoured past time, I just can’t seem to get enough time in a day!!
